You need not to know every single Delhi bus route as there exists the Indian railway network to cover long routes. Recently, there are few accidents reported due to lack of maintenance, but the Ministry of Railways, which has been struggling with long-term accidents, had ordered railway officers to pay attention for the maintenance of the track. The trackmen employed by the Indian railways were being used by senior officers, for their personal household works. They were ordered to report immediately. Near about 30,000 Trackman are working on the officer’s house are ordered to join duty immediately in the field.
6000-7000 trackmen have already joined the duty. A senior official from the Ministry of Railways said that “Apart from special circumstances, no one will be exempted from the duty”.
A circular that was issued by ministry of railways on 28th September 1981 is withdrawn. The circular mentioned that the General Manager to be present at the airport or Railway stations whenever the chairman of Indian railway travels even if it’s his arrivals or the departure. Railway Board chairman Ashwini Lohani, has ordered that no officer will take bouquet or any kind of gifts. This order will be strictly followed in the offices.
