NEW DELHI: The SDMC (South Delhi Municipal Corporation) sealed a total of 23 properties on 8th March, Wednesday. This sealing took place in its west and south zones on the directions given by the monitoring committee appointed by Supreme Court. This measure is taken against the unauthorized construction taking place in various zones of Delhi.
- A senior SDMC official said, the increased misuse in stilt parking area, the building department acted against these properties and sealed 11 properties in B-block Greater Kailash I and six properties in M-block Saket.
- He then added, the building department under SDMC of the west zone, sealed six properties in west zone of Delhi, I.e. Punjabi Bagh for misuse of stilt parking. The stilt parking areas are used as cabin, servant rooms, guard room, wash room and rooms.
- Meanwhile, the North Delhi Municipal corporation sealed 31 properties in four of its zones. These north zones were Karol Bagh, Rohini, Civil Lines and Keshavpuram.
A senior official of NDMC said, fourteen properties were sealed in Naraina Vihar, three in Rohini sector 8, nine in Pitampura and Tri Nagar and five in Outram Lane and Mukherjee Nagar on Wednesday. Whereas, the East Delhi Civic body official said, “sealed 21 properties in Preet Vihar, Geeta Colony, Shakarpur and Anand Vihar against violations of non-payment of conversion & parking charges and the master plan.
