As the cold winds of capital are emerging and the temperature is falling, the level of air pollution is rising again in Delhi, which leads to smog. Western disturbances are heading towards the Himalayas and northwestern India, which can lead to snowfall in those areas. The western disturbances will keep the weather clean in the plains, but the speed of the air can be slow and the chances of reduction of the fog are very less.
As the western disturbances will move towards the north India, the chance of fall in the temperature is high in the night. As a result, the pollution level in Delhi will reach to a dangerous level, which can cause serious damage to the human life.
In some areas of Delhi, the pollution reached around 350, in which the PM 2.5 level reached 174, which is almost double the normal. In this type of situation, the Odd-Even Formula should be rolled up by the Delhi Government.
As per the statement of EPCA, there should be the implementation of this rule automatically, when there is an increment in the pollution level of Delhi. Experts believe that there will be strong western disturbances in the month of December because of the snowfall and rainfall in some areas of northern India. The fog can emerge in Delhi on Wednesday and the temperature at night may fall by up to 8 degrees.
