A vicious murder case has been reported in the North Delhi’s Burari, where a 24-year-old law student was shot down during an argument and died due to excessive bleeding. The man was the resident of that area and he is yet to be arrested.
Ashish, resident of Bihar had come to Delhi to pursue law from a private university and he use to stay at a relative’s house in Gurugram. He was in Delhi to meet his friends, who were staying in a paying guest accommodation near Jharoda.
This incident took place at around 11.45pm, when the victim Ashish Bhardwaj and his friends were roaming on the Nala Road near Hardev Nagar. After the walk, they sat down on a bench; meanwhile a man carrying a double-barrel gun accused him and his friends as a criminal and ordered them to leave. When Ashish disagree, the whole conversation turned into an argument and the man threatened them that he will shoot.
Later, the argument turned into a fight, during which the suspect pressed the gun against Ashish’s chest and pulled the trigger. He then fled from the spot on a motorbike. Victim’s friends chased after the man, but he kept the gun pointed towards them, so they were unable to catch him.
One of Ashish’s friend concluded that everyone was trying to take Ashish to a hospital by hailing an Auto rickshaw. Approximately they had asked 10 Auto rickshaw drivers to help them, but all of them refused to do so. Ashish died due to excessive bleeding.
As per the statement of the victim’s friends the accused was drunk. DCP (north) Jatin Narhwal said that “police have filed a murder case and are looking for the accused at his relative’s houses in Delhi and Haryana to arrest him,”
