National Museum, Delhi, consists of three floor Ground floor, first floor and second floor. Each floor has plenty of things to explore. The Building is designed very uniquely to let the visitors receive an informative feeling inside the premises.
In May 1946, there was a committee called the Maurice Gwyer committee, which prepared the blueprint for the establishment of the National Museum, Delhi.
LIBRARY
The National Museum, Delhi contains a library, which has books and journals related to ancient and medieval India. While referring to those books anyone can figure out norms, culture, tradition, ethics and abstract facts about the Indian society.
All genuine researcher scholars, University students, professors and teachers have access to this library.
TIMINGS
National Museum, Delhi is opened from MONDAY to SATURDAY from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM. Please note that it will remain closed on all the gazetted holidays and second Saturdays of the month.
