Expected to be launched in April 2018, the all-new Freestyle will sport a 5-speed transmission. The review of Ford Freestyle tells that It has a 1.5-litre 3-cylinder diesel engine which churns out 100 bhp of max power and the 1.2-litre Dragon series petrol motor that makes 94 bhp of peak power. It is a Figo-based crossover which has a lot of exterior changes that includes a new bonnet, grille, skid plate, alloys and blacked-out headlights. The new vehicle is expected to feature a new floating touchscreen display which supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Freestyle car review makes us have high expectations and is likely to get LED daytime running lights, LED headlamps and taillights. It will be equipped with six airbags, while front dual airbags will be standard across variants. The bumper is different, where it houses the fog lamps, particularly at the ends. The ARP system is combined with Electronic Stability Control, which will be able to detect potential rollover situations. In such conditions, it will apply brakes to individual tires automatically and decrease engine torque.
The Ford Freestyle crossover launch in Delhi will compete with the likes of Honda WR-V and the Hyundai i20 Active in India. When launched in April, the Freestyle will be positioned below the EcoSport as the entry-level UV. The car is quite like the Figo except for the front black mesh grille and redesigned front bumper, which looks quite sharp and sporty.
It will likely be priced a little higher than the Toyota Etios Cross, which ranges from Rs 6.4 – 7.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The expected price range is Rs 7.5 lakh to Rs 10 lakh depending upon the variants.
The Freestyle car will go on sale around May 2018. This compact vehicle from Ford will compete in the premium hatchback space in the country and soon is to be unveiled. Read the above article to know all about this new automobile and our review of Ford Freestyle.
