Arising from all the occasional denouncement, Delhi government has always been extremely adamant in supporting the people who are in need, this is the reason government initiated a step-through Delhi family benefit scheme in order draw people out of their distresses.
- Key features of the family benefit scheme
- Age of the deceased should lie in the age slot of 18 to 64 Years.
- Family income of the applicant should not be more than Rs. 60,000/-p.a.
- Applicant must be a resident of the National Capital Territory of Delhi for at least 5 years preceding the date of submission of application.
- Eligibility Criteria
According to the rules and regulations of Delhi family benefit scheme, the documents that are to be submitted should clearly show that the applicant is resident of Delhi for 5 years. And should validate this point by any of the following documents Ration Card, Voter Card, Passport, Driving License, Birth certificate issued and Death certificate issued by MCD, Electricity Bill, Water Bill, Telephone bill, Gas connection receipt or any other.
A self –declaration by the applicant regarding the family’s income as given in the family benefit scheme form should be attached.
In case there is no documentary evidence available with the applicant in r/o proof of residence. The applicant will need to produce statements of any of the two proofs of residence, stating the period of applicant’s duration of stay in Delhi-
- Public representative of the area.
- President or General Secretary of RWA of the locality.
- Any Two neighbors of the applicant with their contact details
- ICDS Supervisors or ASHA workers of the area
Family benefit scheme in Delhi states that relevant document for photo identity proof of the witness should also be submitted to prove his residence and length of his stay near the applicant & to ensure that the witnesses themselves have been around in the same area for the number of years they claim to have known the applicant.

- Fill the form and provide all the necessary documents required. Or for further assistance applicant may visit the concerned District Social Welfare Officer for the verification, sanction, and payment under the scheme.
