Riding on Delhi Metro is one of the best things to do in Delhi. And in line of that DMRC is improving its services time to time. Delhi Metro started testing of its new “Driverless Trains” with a length of 20 km on the upcoming Pink Line, which is soon going to add in the route of Delhi Metro.
The technique of new metro trains, which are equipped with uncontrolled train operations (UTOs) and communication based train control (CBTC) signaling system will have a trial.
The trial will be organized between South Campus near Dhaula Kuan and Majlis Park. It will be the longest route for the metro which will cover 59 km and will connect Majlis Park to North East Delhi’s Shiv Vihar. In June, trial runs were started on this line, between Mayapuri and Shakurpur stations which have distance of 6.5 km.
Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) said, “With the beginning of the trial today, regular testing will be started with the highest point of 23.6 meter height in the Dhaula Kuan in Delhi Metro, which is as high as a seven-story building. The corridor has come on the artery ring road which surrounds the city and will be launched during December 2017 and March 2018.
