NEW DELHI: All the residents of area under New Delhi Municipal Council will now have to pay a user charge. All those who are living in government flats will be included to pay a user charge.
The residents of this area who owns sweet shops or big restaurants in Delhi will have to pay a maximum amount of Rs. 1000/- per month. Whereas, those who owns five star hostels in Delhi, banquet halls, Community halls, clubs and guest houses will have to pay a maximum amount of Rs. 500/- per month.
All the embassies comprising the NDMC land more than 4000 metre squares, will have to pay Rs. 10000/- per month as user charge.
USER CHARGE FOR DOOR TO DOOR COLLECTION
According to a senior officer of NDMC people will now have to pay the user charge in lieu of the facility of door to door garbage collection for clean Delhi, which NDMC provides the residents. The charge would be different for people living in different types of government quarters. 6 different categories have been classified by NDMC for user charge collection.
