- Over next three days, the kidnappers planned several meetings but they failed to turn up. On Wednesday night, the story took a catastrophic turn and many facts started to unfold.
- On 28th March, cops found Ayush’s semi-decomposed body inside a large black trash bag in sector 13, Dwarka floating in a drain. Investigations led the cops to Ayush’s male friend, Ishtyaq, who confessed that he had bludgeoned Ayush to death on March 22, after Ayush had threatened to break up with him. Ishtyaq then deliberately cooked up the story to deceive the whole murder into kidnapping.
Probing the murder of the Delhi University student Ayush Nautiyal, the police have arrested 25-year-old designer Ishtiaq Ali. The police have stated that Ali, who works as a sampling manager for various export houses, was arrested after a long, painstaking investigation. Ali revealed that he killed Ayush, after an altercation and the ransom call was a cover up to buy time to dispose of Ayush’s body.
A statement by the police has stated that Ali met Ayush through a dating website. According to the police, Ayush often used various dating applications and met strangers frequently.
