Garbage

No replacement for Ghazipur was found by EDMC in 36 days. Dumping of garbage will be again a problematic issue for East MCD after 20 days. Ghazipur is filled with Garbage in abundance. Merely the permission of two months has been given to dump the garbage at Ghazipur.

On seeing the elevation of garbage, collecting at Ghazipur, the MCD has controlled the amount of garbage which is sent there. Earlier 1300 metric tons garbage was sent there which is now reduced to 700-800 metric tons. The remaining garbage is sent to Ghazipur waste energy plant and Okhla waste energy plant.

Garbage

The commissioner of East Delhi MCD, Ranvir Singh said that energy plant’s ability will be increased up to 1900 metric tons. Presently it is 1300 metric tons. It would be increases to 2500 metric tons till 2018. All the eastern places near Delhi-NCR which includes shahdara, Yamuna Vihar, Geeta Colony, Anand Vihar etc. are producing about 3000 metric tons of garbage. In such case there won’t be any problem if 2500 metric ton of garbage will be processed. MCD is also taking help from experts of ITI Delhi to decrease the elevation of garbage.
