Every Indian loves to eat paranthas and it is hard to resist the aroma of sputtering spices. Paranthe Wali Gali is a well known lane of parantha makers in Old Delhi. This lane is famous worldwide among food lovers. It is a must visit for every traveler or tourist in Delhi which is very near to red fort and Jama masjid. Visitors from abroad may be amused at the buzz around this place.

You can enjoy the heavenly taste of paranthas in gali paranthe wali. Apart from this, if you are travelling through car, you might experience some traffic. But, it is worth the struggle. One must visit at least once when in old Delhi.
Nearest metro to old Delhi: About 15 minutes walk from the Chandni Chowk metro station.
Though the restaurants are cramped, lot of eateries serving parathas can be found here. The gali is so famous that you have to wait for some time in queue till you get your number in the restaurant.
TIP: For those who are not used to eat so much of oily stuff, this could be bit heavy.
At paranthe wali gali, you expose your taste buds to authentic parantha’s which melt in your mouth. Gulp them down with sweet lassi. The parathas are deep fried with different stuffings. The Paranthas served here are strictly vegetarian and the paratha preparations here are a bit different then what we do usually at our home. Difference between paranthas here and elsewhere is that the ones made here are deep fried. So, basically they prepare types of parantha with various stuffing and deep fry them.
Paranthas are stuffed with fillings like, Matar, Khoya, Rabri, Bitter gourds, Lady fingers, Chilies, Lemons, Kajus, Badams, Radishes, Carrots, Cauliflowers, Paneer, Aaloo, etc. You can also taste the paranthas with the most unusual stuffing like Papad, Banana, Rabdi, Kaju and Khurchan Parantha.
