Kamaljeet Sethi owner of a petrol pump was shot down by a man. He lives with his family in Mehrauli and has a petrol pump in Lado Sarai.
Mr. Sethi was going to a bank in his car to deposit the cash. He was carrying 13 lakh Rs. with him. When he was walking towards the bank, meanwhile, an unidentified man came and tried to snatch the money from him, when he failed to get the money, then he took out his pistol and fired at the shoulder of Mr. Sethi and snatched the money and fled from the spot.
The incident took place at south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar. After the investigation, police came to know that there was three accused and they were following Mr. Sethi from Lado Sarai. One of them was stationed near the bank while the others stood at a distance.An autorickshaw driver tried to stop the accused, but he was hit on his head by the man, who fled with the bag containing the cash.
The police concluded that the face of the accused was covered with a handkerchief, and he came from behind and tried to snatch the bag.
Mr. Sethi underwent a surgery and he is in a better condition now and the autorickshaw driver was discharged after the treatment, the police said.
