New Delhi: On Sunday, an Ola cab driver hit the security guard at IGI airport terminal 3. The security guard moved along with the cab on its bonnet and got injured as well. Cab driver moved 100 meters even after hitting the security guard who was lying on the bonnet at the same time. CISF acted immediately and one of their QRT enforced the cab to stop. The cab driver was then asked to come out with hands-up position with a gun pointed at him.
Later, during interrogation, police came to know that cab driver picked up a customer from departure gate number 7 of terminal-3. Cabs can only drop the passengers at the departure terminal. Pickups are not allowed for cabs at the departure terminal of IGI. Guards from DIAL security wing are always posted to prevent cabs from picking up costumers at both the sides of the terminal-3. CISF officers informed that the incident occurred on Sunday at 4 pm in the evening. CISF succeeded to stop the cab within 1 minute when it hit the security guard, Arun Kumar.
According to the CISF, name of the cab driver is Dev. Accused driver had a white colored car which is seized by the police.
