Shiksha Mitro has continued their Dharna at Jantar-Mantar in lieu of their demand for work and pay scale. In an indefinite strike and demonstration on Jantar Mantar, the teachers from various districts of Uttar Pradesh have taken part. Women too are the part of this strike.
According to the protestors, if Central government will not take any action, their strike can aggravate further. On Tuesday, they marched half-naked towards the Parliament but somehow police stopped them by barricading.
Dushyant, Chairman of Adarsh Shastri Mitra Welfare Association, Meerut Division said that on 25th July Supreme Court has cancelled the adjustment of shiksa mitra due to which Shikshit Mitra of the entire state is on the road. Supreme Court has announced unlawful regularization of teachers. Yogi government had promised to pay handsome amount of salary to the teachers but that assurance has not been yet fulfilled.
Government agreed to give the amount of 10,000 rupees to shiksha mitro but now it’s denying this offer too. People sitting on strike are demanding that the central government should bring the education figures parallel to the auxiliary teacher by bringing amendments to the Right to Education Act.
