15 Deaths are reported due to swine flu at Safdarjung Hospital, with two more in Muzaffarpur and Aligarh who were caught by the disease recently.
“Both were referred cases. Our doctors tried their best to save the two patients but due to severe complications the patients could not be saved,” said an official from hospital.
This year, more than 1,100 people have died due to swine flu in all over India. The state government of Delhi has claimed only 5 deaths due to viral illness but, hospitals have reported nearly three to four times more deaths than this. “Many patients are referred from other states,” added officials.
