GANDHARVA MAHAVIDYALAYA
As one of the famous singing classes in Delhi to impart traditional training in classical music along with dance. The Gandharva Mahavidyalaya has churned out many classical musicians such as Shubhadra Desai along with many popular playback singers like Richa Sharma and Kailash Kher. This music school was established in 1939 by Pandit Vinaya Chandra Maudgalya (Bhaiji), an eminent musicologist and educationist.

SHRIRAM BHARATIYA KALA KENDRA
Its first guru was the legendary Shambhu Maharaj and his first student was Maya Rao, now a renowned dancer. This kendar was founded as ‘Jhankar’ in 1947 by Soumitra Charat Ram and is one of the best singing classes in Delhi. This centre was inspired by Pandit Ravi Shankar and set up as a body that would work towards the appreciation of Indian classical music and dance.
This Kendra is a well-known singing classes in Cannought place, located at Copernicus Marg. The list musicians who have taught here includes: Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan and his son Ustad Amjad Ali Khan (sarod), the elder Dagar brothers, Naina Devi, Pandit Amarnath, Siddheshwari Devi (vocal), Ustad Asad Ali Khan (Rudra veena), and Guru Purushottam Das (Pakhwaj).

SANGEET SHYMALA
This school was settled up by founder-director Som Tewari, after she was fascinated by Pandit Maniram’s voice. She decided to learn under him. In 1971, when Tewari shifted to Delhi from Kolkata, she initially taught at her residence. The school was established in 1996 with the help of the Resident Welfare Association. Sangeet Shymala’s classes are among the best singing classes for adults in Delhi.

SMT. SIDDHESHWARI DEVI ACADEMY OF MUSIC
This school follows the true tradition of guru-shishya parampara. This music academy was established by Savita Devi, on August 1977 in memory of her mother, Siddheshwari Devi, fondly known as the ‘thumri queen’. It is one of the best singing coaching classes in Delhi. In this academy, the only guru in the school was Savita Devi, who has taught more than 70 students till date. In the evenings, her house transforms into a bustling music school with alaaps and taans.
