A step ahead to avoid road accident is taken by AAP government. On Friday, Delhi Govt. informed the Delhi High Court that they are in favor of the proposal given by HC to record a video of practical tests given by applicants who have applied for driving license. This would prevent the untrained and rash drivers to attain the driving license from the authority.
The authority is going to hire videographers to record footage of outdoor tests of applicants. A record will be kept for not only commercial, but for light vehicles as well. What’s also received from sources is that government has also decided to install closed circuit cameras in the areas where written tests are conducted.
On this HC has asked the government to file a report giving details about the procedure to implement the idea of video recording. The court received a PIL demanding to stringent the rules of granting licenses to drivers. The social activist, Pawan Kumar in his PIL alleged that there was immensely colluded corruption in the city’s transport department. In addition, he blamed its officials for the road accidents caused by speeding and rash driving.
