Woman Runs Over Labourer By Putting Him into The Hole He Was Digging

One labourer died and another one was seriously injured while digging a deep pit in Saket on Wednesday afternoon at around 3 PM. It all happened when a woman driving an Innova crashed into him before pinning him to death into the hole he was digging.

  • The daily wage laborer Siyaram Paswan was a resident of Bhati Mines in south Delhi and aged around 40, was taken to AIIMS Trauma Centre. But, by the time they reached the hospital he was found dead. Whereas, Chander Prakash, who was digging at the same site with Siyaram, told police that he was standing outside the pit while his friend was digging and relaying the mud from inside to him.
  • In his interview, he said, that the woman was driving on the wrong side and soon the Innova collided with a Swift. The impact was so large that the Innova swerved madly and careened in the direction of the two men after hurtling towards the road divider. The car hit Prakash with such high impact that he lost consciousness and retained his senses in the hospital only.

The woman driver who is a resident of Mehrauli, has been arrested and a case has been registered under the Sections 279 (rash and negligent driving) and 304 (A) (causing death due to negligence) of the Indian Penal Code at the Saket police station.
