Yamuna Expressway will remain one-way for three days after the mid-December. NHAI will make a flyover for Eastern Peripheral near Jaganpur Afzalpur. During this, a diversion plan will be created to keep the movement of the vehicles normal on the expressway.
On the issue of announcing the Yamuna expressway as one-way for three days, the officials of the National Highway Authority (NHAI) met Amarnath Upadhyay ACEO of the Yamuna Authority on Monday. He gave them information about this plan.
The officials of the ACEO have asked the officials of NHAI to give a written proposal at least 15 days before starting work on the expressway so that the traffic diversion can be properly planned.
The officials of NHAI concluded that instead of closing the full expressway, only the one side of the expressway will be closed. The other side of the expressway will be opened so that the movement of vehicles does not stop. NHAI officials further added in their statement that the preparation of flyovers will be done in advance. In these three days, work will be done to keep a pre-prepared guard on the slab. This will not trouble the drivers.
